Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and dating to1832 the beautifully converted Stable adjoins Broadmea Barn as a light and airy open plan barn conversion on two levels including beamed ceilings, spacious living areas and rustic stone walls.  The three bedroom property can be booked independently for 6 guests or booked together with The Barn for a larger group.

Here you’ll discover the quietness and beauty of the Northumberland countryside. Through the day, enjoy the freedom to explore the fabulous footpaths right from the door whilst getting lost in the dazzling dark skies at night.

Sitting room with seating to relax and access through double doors to it’s own outdoor patio area and hot tub. Samsung Smart TV with Free Sat.

The Stable, Slaggyford Northumberland

Situated close to the Pennine Way, you’ll find yourself stepping out to explore one of England’s most famous national trails or ambling along our circular walks right from the door and if lucky, catch a glimpse of one of the resident red squirrels. You won’t be short of things to see discovering the history of Hadrian’s Wall, hiking in the stunning scenery of the Lake District National Park or taking a steam engine train journey from Slaggyford through the beautiful South Tyne Valley to the popular quiet market town of Alston. The Scottish borders and Newcastle Upon Tyne with its vibrant Quayside and Metro Centre are easily accessible by car.

Broadmea Barn and Stable each have their own private hot tub so after a full day exploring, relax and unwind whilst counting stars in Northumberland’s Dark Skies. Private trout and Salmon fishing is just an amble through the hay meadows to where Broadmea Farm borders the South Tyne River. And for a taste of local cuisine enjoy a visit to our local award winning gastro pub, The Kirkstyle Inn and Sportsman’s Rest.
