We've just returned from a week in the Barn and want to turn around to go back. The accommodation is large but friendly, warm and cosy and beautifully decorated. The views from every window are breathtaking and the walks from the doorstep are spectacular. There’s plenty to do in the area with Hadrian’s Wall, hiking the fells, the steam train to Alston and gorgeous local towns nearby. We highly recommend Broadmea.

We had a fabulous time at the Barn.  It was everything we wanted and more. Lovely and quiet and the hot tub was a hit.  Would definitely recommend this 5* accommodation.

Great place to stay for a family get together.  Property was beautiful and location is well placed in the countryside with easy access to surrounding activities.  We had an amazing stay.

Wonderful friendly owner for whom nothing was too much trouble at all. The Stable accommodation was first-rate, warm and airy - thanks to the high ceilings, patio doors and well-proportioned windows. Amazing holiday accommodation in a fantastic, quiet area of the country.  Ideal for Hadrian’s Wall and beyond.

We chose Broadmea for its location. My family joined us and the three double rooms were lovely. The Stable has been beautifully repurposed and furnished. It looks great on the website and we were very impressed. The owner was very helpful and responsive to our questions and the hot tub was a nice treat. 

The Stable is a beautiful place to stay for a relaxing break.  We could not fault it, there was everything you could possibly need. We hope to return in the future.  Thank you so much.

The Barn is stunning with everything we needed and more, with spacious bedrooms and comfortable beds and lovely walks right from the doorstep. We took a bike ride along the railway and took the tiny steam train to Alston. Further afield there was horse riding, the stunning High Force Waterfall, Hadrian’s Wall Roman Fort and Lowther Castle with its fantastic adventure play park.  

It was a fantastic holiday the whole family enjoyed.

Our group of 16 stayed at the Barn and Stable and it was fantastic.  The scenery, the facilities and the accommodations all amazing and the hot tub was a fabulous addition to the stay. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful cottages inside and out, set in picturesque surroundings and stocked with everything we could ever need. The decor and attention to detail were second to none. The hosts were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Weekend break in fantastic accommodation with quality fixtures and fittings, and very well equipped. Plenty of space for a large group and the location, hot tubs and outside space all great. Service was fantastic, we'll definitely be back.
