Broadmea has been a working farm since 1950, consisting of mainly Swaledale sheep.
Owners Paul and Trish, the fourth generation of Staleys’ who have operated the 1800 acre farm, began the conversion of the old cow byre and hay store in 2005. The aim of the renovation was to restore and maintain as much of the original 18th century buildings as possible.
First guests, welcomed in February 2007, found the end result of this beautiful barn conversion to be a huge success. With its perfect combination of traditional structure and contemporary design, Broadmea has become a wonderfully popular destination for staying in the English Countryside.
The cottages are well maintained to keep a modern, updated and stylish feel, including a recent addition of a hot tub for guests booking the Stable.
